Cookie Policy
This page explains which cookies and which data saved in the browser www.starlyware.com uses, what they are for and how you can manage them. For everything else about how we process data, read the Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a site saves in your browser to find them again on later visits. Besides cookies, sites can save data in the browser's storage (localStorage). On this page we call both “cookies”.
2. Technical Cookies (No Consent Needed)
They are needed to run the site or a feature you request, so no consent is required:
- Cookie choice: we remember whether you accepted or declined statistics, so we don't ask again on every page.
- Karen: your name, the things you ask her to remember and her settings stay in your browser's storage and are not sent to our servers.
- Quasar web console: the last command sequence and whether you have already uploaded the console firmware, again only in your browser.
- Google reCAPTCHA: on the pages with a form (home page and bug report) Google uses its own cookies to recognize spam. See the Privacy Policy, section 3.8.
3. Statistics Cookies (Only With Consent)
If you press “Accept” in the banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Ltd and Google LLC) for aggregate statistics: pages visited, length of visits, device type, approximate area. Google Analytics saves the _ga and _ga_* cookies with a random browser identifier. If you press “Decline”, or don't choose, the Google Analytics script is not downloaded and no statistics cookie is saved.
We don't use profiling or advertising cookies, and the site doesn't embed third-party content (videos, maps, social buttons) that saves cookies. The site's fonts are served from our own server.
